VENINI announces the launch of Stele, a collection of never-before-seen lamps designed by Arnaldo Pomodoro in 2002 for VENINI, the great complexity of which had prevented their realisation untilnow. Recovering the original designs, the project finally takes shape, fusing the distinctive languageof the artist with the craftsmanship of VENINI’s artisans. Inspired by the votive columns of ancient civilisations, the lamps stand as contemporary totems, symbols of balance and beauty. A dialogue between solidity and lightness, between the rigour of bronze and the ethereal luminosity of glass, telling a story of memory, innovation and formal research. In a fascinating reinterpretation of his artistic language, Pomodoro creates the complex sculptural reliefs that characterise his famous bronze works, on a glassy, luminous surface.
